About the Role

Job Summary:
The Expansion Project Manager will be responsible for building the Friendlier team in Vancouver. They will be responsible for commissioning the wash facility, building up the operations team, and working closely with the sales rep to ensure that we can sustain growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Commission the Vancouver dishwashing facility through working with contractors, suppliers, and other external parties to get the facility running effectively.
Hire an operations team and train them on the proper operating procedures of the facility.
Represent the company and communicate all updates with the Vancouver team.
Drive operational efficiencies in the process through continuous improvement projects
Drive a professional, collaborative work culture.
Hire a site supervisor to oversee the operations and shifts.
Establish relationships with third party contract companies.
Establish relationships with potential partners in the Vancouver region and assist the local ADR to generate new leads.
Report out on key Vancouver metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or production management, engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 2 years in leadership roles.

  • Proven ability to focus on operational priorities that enable a start-up to achieve business goals

  • Known for being an excellent team manager as well as individual contributor

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with forecasting and demand planning.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

  • Experience working in a start-up or scaling company is a plus.

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices is a plus.
