About the Role

As the Continuous Improvement Lead at Friendlier, you will be responsible for analyzing day to day operations, identifying new/improvement opportunities within the Operations division of the organization Nationally, scoping pragmatic solutions and the implementation of the improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be agile, hard working and will have both process optimization and project implementation experience. You enjoy solving challenges and working within a growing team to steadily improve our operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize day-to-day operations including improving and standardizing operating procedures, sourcing and implementing automation equipment (such as automated scanners, picking, sorting, etc) and other improvement projects 

  • Design and implement new processes to streamline operations and allow for easy repeatability

  • Define appropriate baseline and target measurement criteria for the improvement projects to identify opportunities and to quantify implemented improvements

  • Source and manage vendors for implementation of projects

  • Provide leadership, training, and support to the business to achieve “Best-in-Class” performance by eliminating waste in manufacturing and business processes, improving cycle times, and reduced lead times to our customers

  • Work with the Head of Operations to prioritize improvement projects based on operations needs

  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in supply chain, production planning, and logistics processes and Lead root cause analysis investigations to address inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions

  • Lead the delivery of significant, quantifiable, annualized cost savings. Take accountability for the success of identified cost reduction and work within the assigned budget.

 

What you Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years in process improvement, project management, and/or equipment maintenance

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make pragmatic, data-driven decisions

  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions effectively

  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Six Sigma certification is an asset

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Automation experience is an asset
